The equipment of the terrarium must therefore include – stones, branches, reel and tunnels. The material from which the terrarium is made can be glass or furniture board. The best substrate is sawdust, which should be cleaned regularly to prevent the development of dangerous bacteria and parasites. You can also mount a separate cuvette, which makes it easier to keep the substrate clean.

A terrarium for a hedgehog should therefore provide him with a lot of free space for running, have a hiding place in which the animal sleeps and a reel and other accessories thanks to which he can spend time actively.
