Halogen bulb HALOGEN SPOT 70W REPTI GOOD.
A halogen bulb has a big advantage over an ordinary incandescent bulb. Halogen is made of thick hard glass, thanks to which it is resistant to falls and mechanical damage. Thick glass is also more resistant to water drops. Halogen also has a higher efficiency compared to standard incandescent bulbs. This means that at the same power it produces more heat and emits at a higher temperature. This is especially useful in a terrarium because the halogen can then be placed higher than a regular light bulb. For example, a bulb EXO TERRA INTENSE BASKING SPOT 50W at a distance of 40cm from the bulb gives a temperature of 27 degrees and HALOGEN SPOT 35W at the same distance of 36 degrees.

The graph shows the dependence of the obtained temperature to the distance of the substrate from the halogen. As you can see on the characteristics, halogen 50W obtains higher temperature values than halogen 70W. This is due to the fact that halogen 50W is in the PAR20 bubble and halogen 70W PAR30. The PAR30 bubble is larger and wider, making the halogen glow at a greater angle. The PAR20 bubble shines with more focused light at one point, which is why its temperature is higher exactly under the halogen. On the other hand, the PAR30 bubble covers a larger area.
